Every VA Hospital Must Have Dedicated Women’s Health Provider

In legislation passed at the end of 2020, Congress mandated the VA to establish an Office of Women’s Health within the VA. All women veterans should now have access to a dedicated women’s health provider within any VA hospital, expanding VA’s duty to care for the women who serve our country.

The provision was passed as part of the Johnny Isakson and David P. Roe, M.D. Veterans Health Care and Benefits Improvement Act of 2020, which also addresses COVID-19 disability benefits for service members who contract the virus while on duty.
