VA Office in Wichita is Wrongly Deciding Most Claims that are Denied

The VA inspector general's office has identified major problems at the Wichita VA Regional Office.  Over 1/2 of claims decided contain errors, because of poor training or claims that are improperly developed.  The Regional Office is improperly deciding claims without scheduling required medical examinations.  

The report indicates that claims at the Wichita regional office, found that out of 70 claims decided, 36 were incorrectly decoded.  

The regional office agreed with the findings.  While they state they are going to correct the errors, past history shows that without management changes, this is unlikely to happen.
