During law school, John interned in the Consumer Unit of Denver Legal Services, advocating for consumers against abusive lending practices. Before law school he was a paralegal at a firm that represented employees in retaliation and discrimination suits against employers. As a student attorney, John successfully represented workers before the Colorado Department of Labor whose employers wrongfully withheld wages and assisted tenants in conflicts with landlords. John then began as a law clerk for Sean Kendall and knew right away that he wanted to keep working on behalf of veterans. His experiences fighting for the underdog against lenders, employers, and landlords prepared him to help veterans in the struggles they go through with VA.
John is a new member of the National Organization of Veterans' Advocates and is looking forward to becoming more involved with the community of lawyers who represent our veterans.
