In an effort to avoid veterans filing claims for benefits due to long term illness caused by service in the Persian Gulf War, a top VA officials has sent emails that state VA would prefer to term diseases suffered in the Gulf "chronic multisymptom illness" rather than Gulf War Illness.  The reason for this this is to limit veterans with such symptoms or diagnosis from filing claims with the VA.  The VA official responsible for this, VA Undersecretary Allison Hickey, is known for her philsophy of saving the Va money by looking for medical excuses to deny benefits, including a belief that PTSD is over-diagnosed.

Gulf War Ilness claims are extremely complicated.  VA often tries to argue that symptoms veterans suffer from are not related to Gulf War Illness.  Contact us, and we will develop you case to ensure that VA does not deny you Gulf War Illness claim.
