Veterans with Gulf service(1991 to present) that are diagnosed with any of the Gulf War Illness presumptive disabilities, before December 31, 2021, are automatically presumed to have such disabilities service-connected.  The deadline for the diagnosis was set to expire on December 31, 2016, but has been extended by VA.

There are basically four Gulf War illness, depending on how you count.

They include

1.  Irritable bowel syndrome and other diagnosable functional gastrointestinal disorders (which in our practice we don't often see);

2.  Chronic fatigue syndrome;

3.  Fibromyalgia;

4.  Undiagnosed Illnesss, usually characterized by weight loss, fatigue, heart problems, muscle and joint problems, menstrual disorder, skin conditions, respiratory disorders and sleep disorders.
