TBI and PTSD together affect more than half-million veterans, a fact that drives the American Legion to pursue funding for diagnosis and treatment options for affected veterans. Immediately following on the tail of their 2013 report to congress “The War Within,” the American Legion has been conducting a survey Veterans with TBI/PTSD and the treatments that have been prescribed for their diagnosis. The data from the American Legion’s newest survey will be used to make informed recommendations to the VA and DoD on the treatment of these mental health issues affecting our veterans.
