Unique program for substance abuse and mental health problems

It is not unusual for veterans returning from duty to have mental health issues along with substance abuse problems.  Haven Behavioral War Heroes Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado, is a program that deals with mental health issues, like anxiety and fight or flight reactions, in conjunction with substance abuse.  The therapists for this program are former military personnel, so they have real experience with combat situations.

For more on this issue, see:  Shanna Lewsis, "Pueblo’s Haven for Warriors" on Colorado Public Radion, online at www.cpr.org/article/PUEBLOS_HAVEN_FOR_WARRIORS.
