How will sequestration affect the VA?

Sequestration's mandatory budget cuts are scheduled to take effect on Friday, March 1, 2013. All programs administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), including Veterans’ Medical Care, are exempt from sequestration, according a letter issued on April 23, 2012 from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on behalf of both OMB and VA.
